There is not much to tell you about this little girl. She's as cute as she looks but much more active than her pictures may indicate. She has no real fear, although sometimes bigger new dogs surprise her, & she is very outgoing. She loves tagging along with us as we do our chores.
She loves her treats & offers polite behaviours for them. She likes her toys & dragging sticks around the yard. Her best friend right now is Duke. They can play & play & play some more. She has a very good recall to her name & she knows how to sit politely for the door to open (unless she is desperate to potty).
She is crate trained but we're not sure about house trained yet. She knows how to make noise to let us know when she is in her crate but if really desperate, she may not make it all the way to the door yet.
She is a lovely little girl without the typical cattle dog mouthiness of puppies or the snippiness we've been seeing a lot of lately. It is unknown how she would be around cats or children.
Emmy Lou was owner surrendered when it was realized that getting a cattle dog puppy may not have been a good idea for a young couple that worked full-time away from the home. Although Emmy came with some wonderful manners & a good recall, they did not feel they could give her the appropriate outlet for her energy as it increased.
