DoB: March 2015 (estimate)
HERDING INSTINCT: Unknown
ISSUES; Plays too aggressively with other dogs; grabby around smaller dogs when over excited; fearful of men; kids & cats are an unknown.
Echo is a relatively petite girl and on the shy side, especially around people. She is very polite with people (kids are an unknown), takes treats nicely, walks nicely on lead, & travels well in the vehicle.
She tends to be more fearful around men but did not snap when the male veterinarian did the initial exam on her arrival. She was giving him the wide eyed stare though.
Having observed her around other dogs, she really likes to play with almost everyone but she does get over excited & then tries to grab their ears. This is consistently how she tries to play so it is no wonder she seemed to get into scraps regularly because no one appreciates that. She can be too rough on dogs smaller than her as well.
She goes somewhat stir crazy when the ball comes out but we believe it is not because she wants it or doesn't like it but she knows it sets other dogs to running & she wants to chase.
She is now crate trained and knows how to signal when she needs to go outside. She was also very skinny on arrival & owners had indicated they could not seem to put weight on her. Glad to say that she does now seem to be filling out a bit more & is not quite so thin.
Echo was owner surrendered because she & their older female german shepherd were always getting into scraps, whether alone or under supervision.
