BEHAVIOUR & 'Re'-TRAINING

The majority of our friends, adopters and supporters participate in various dog sports but our main passions are agility and herding.  Unfortunately, due to limited resources, we do not get a lot of opportunity to work our dogs on livestock regularly but when we can , we try to instinct test the dogs in foster care.

Fortunately, if you really want to herd with your herding breed and you are committed to the time involved, there are more opportunities to work livestock today than there was 10 years ago.  Almost every province has a stock dog club that hosts herding clinics and sanctioned herding trials and they can usually point you in the direction of a local trainer.
